THE FUCK* AUDIT LIVE: INHERITED FUCKS

How many of the fucks you give were handed to you by somebody else?

We inherit an extraordinary amount of stuff about how we’re supposed to live our lives, from our families, the people who raised us, religion, school, culture and all the other places that taught us what was normal, acceptable or expected.

Maybe you grew up believing that you had to work hard to be successful, that putting yourself first was selfish, that you should keep the peace, stay in the relationship, get the sensible job, earn more money, be grateful for what you have, or care deeply about what other people think of you.

And perhaps some of those things are genuinely important to you.
