Compost What You are Carrying

This way of working isn’t new. It’s been used for thousands of years, and a return to Shamanic Healing is needed in modern times.
This 60-minute session weaves together two ancient Andean-Amazonian tools, the Hucha stones and the Shacapa. They work in together to release the weight of heavy emotions held in the body.
Resentment, shame, guilt, blame, disappointment, suppressed sadness. The stones draw out the hucha and returns it to the earth for composting and transformation. Once the denser energies have been offered back, the Shacapa recalibrates the field and restores balance.

The Shacapa is one of the most ancient healing tools of the Amazon rainforest. A bundle of dry leaves from the Pariana plant. As it is rhythmically shaken, it emits a soft rustling sound, often described as the whisper of the jungle, or the breath of the forest, the sound deepening your breath, your body exhaling and relaxing. Combined with the healing melody of the icaros, it soothes and restores harmony, and space, clarity and peace return.
How the Shacapa & Hucha Stones work
The Shacapa is one of the most ancient healing tools of the Amazon rainforest used by Curanderos in the Amazon, a bundle of leaves from the Periana plant, known natively as Chiriza, that creates a soft rustling sound, like wind through trees when shaken, a sound your body recognises immediately and begins to soften.
The Hucha stones are volcanic stones from the Andes, carrying the weight and density of the earth itself. Hucha is the Quechua word for heavy, stuck energy, the grief that never moved, the shame you stopped naming, the weight that built up and stayed. The stones work with that, drawing it out in a way that feels both subtle and undeniable, returning it to the earth, to Pachamama, who knows exactly what to do with it.
We begin with the Shacapa, loosening what's held tight in the body and energy field. Then we bring in the Hucha stones to go deeper, to draw out what was waiting to be released. We finish with the Shacapa again, to sow new seeds, to rebalance and restore.
Icaros are sung during the session. Some from the lineage I carry, some my own medicine songs, all set to the specific frequency of what your intention.
People often leave lighter, with things shifting in ways they didn’t expect.
My own experience was profound. I went in heavy with overthinking, everything feeling hard, and I asked for joy and flow to return. A few days later I found myself planting seeds for the future with a lightness I'd forgotten, the realisation landing that building something new is actually fun. That was the gift.
Put it all down for an hour, the earth knows how to compost what you are carrying.
