MOON LODGE

The Art of Remembering

Community Event For Women in Berkshire

Moon Lodge – The Art of Remembering

Since ancient times, women have gathered together in circles. In many cultures there were places where women withdrew during their moontime or after childbirth, stepping away from the demands of daily life to rest, share stories, and pass wisdom between generations.

Often known as Moon Lodges or Red Tents, these spaces were honoured as places of renewal where women could listen more deeply to the rhythms of their bodies and the cycles of the earth.  Many traditions recognised this time as one of heightened intuition and insight, when women gathered together to listen deeply to the wisdom rising within them.

A Modern Sanctuary

This Moon Lodge is a continuation of an ancient rhythm. A sanctuary where you can pause, step out of the noise of everyday life, and reconnect with your own inner rhythm and the wisdom of the season. Within this nurturing space you are invited to share your stories, your challenges, and your joys, knowing you will be heard exactly where you are in your life.

Most importantly, it is a place to simply rest and be with other women. Sitting in circle reminds us of something deeply natural: that we were never meant to navigate life alone.

Whether you are in you have your moon time or not, whether you are in your menstruating years or your wisdom years, you are welcome here. This circle is a dedicated space for women in the female body, honouring the cycles and life stages unique to the female experience.

This circle is held for women in female bodies. It nourishes all phases of our lives as women, whether we have a physical womb or not, whether we have a menstrual cycle, and whatever archetype of feminine wisdom we resonate with — maiden, mother, wild woman or crone.

Rooted in the Wisdom of Mother Earth

This Moon Lodge is held in the Goddess tradition, and I honour the vital role that Mother Earth and her changing seasons play in our lives. Our gatherings will follow the Wheel of the Year and the Moon cycles, aligning our own inner journeys with the beautiful, natural rhythms of the world around us.

What to Expect

Each moon lodge is unique and unfolds in its own way, aligned with the seasons and the moon.

Our time together may include storytelling, reflection, creative practices or simple rituals. This is a space to share what is on your heart and nurture one another through presence and shared wisdom. There is no pressure to speak and no advice giving.

It is simply the presence of women holding space for one another.

I welcome the full truth of your experiences. There may be laughter and tears.  I hold this sacred space for the healing and deepest joy of women, as it is my greatest desire to create a sanctuary where every woman feels safe to unfurl, be seen in her wholeness, and remember her own innate power.

This is a space to be.

A space to receive and fill your cup.

Come as you are with an open mind and heart.

This Moon Lodge

As we move towards Beltane, the earth is moving towards fullness. Blossoms open, life reaches outward, and the creative pulse of nature becomes impossible to ignore.

In the wisdom traditions of the feminine body, this time mirrors the phase before ovulation — when vitality, desire and creative energy are at their peak. It is a moment of ripeness, when life within us is ready to meet the world.

Many traditions speak of this season as a time of sacred union. Not only the meeting of lovers, but the deeper inner union of the energies we carry within us — instinct and intuition, action and receptivity, masculine and feminine.

It is within this spirit of ripeness and remembering that we will sit together and turn towards one of the most elemental questions we can ask ourselves:

What does it mean to be a woman?

There is no single answer. There is only your answer — rising from your body, your story, your season of life. Together we will listen, share and remember.

If you know women who might be interested in joining us, let them know about this space.  I am looking forward to connecting with you and experience your wisdom.
